Sydney Wagman, MSW, RSW (she/her)
It’s easy to lose sight of yourself beneath everything life asks you to carry. Between work, relationships, family, social media, and the pressure to have everything figured out, you may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or unsure of where to begin. Whatever has brought you here, you don’t have to navigate it alone.
One of the reasons I became a social worker is because I believe people are so much more than a diagnosis, a label, or one difficult chapter of their lives. Everyone has a story, and every story deserves to be met with curiosity, compassion, and without judgment. My role is to understand where you've been, recognize the strengths you already have, and help you move toward the life you want to build.
I work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, life transitions, and involvement with the justice system. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and trauma-informed care, I work alongside clients to build practical coping strategies while creating meaningful, lasting change.
I am a Registered Social Worker with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Western University and a Master of Social Work from the Wurzweiler School of Social Work in New York City. Through my work in private practice and Toronto's mental health and justice system, I have had the privilege of supporting individuals through some of life's most challenging moments. Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy travelling, staying active, exploring Toronto's coffee shops and restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.
